Somethings to Ponder

Nature Scorned [Nature's Fury]

A woman has a temper worse than
Any wind from hell
Scorn her and wait for judgement
Time will surely tell
But worse than both, as far as I have seen,
Is the fury of Mother Nature
Scorned by our man made things
Tsunamis rack island shores
Drowning hundreds of inhabitants
Earthquakes tumble our cities
Leaving fissures in their wake
Powerful winds and storms blow through
But we seem to ignore our mistakes

Dark and Frightful Mind [Troubling Thoughts]

Thoughts wander through my mind
Travelers through a silent storm
Some are not common men's thoughts
They seldom were
Some are dark and troubling
Schemes of punishment and revenge
For those who injured and harmed
Their hell is filled with painful shrieks
From hurt they must receive in death
For the harm they caused to me
And other innocent persons too
Torment inflicted and renewed
Alas! Blind eyes will never see
Two new free verses for the challenge. Nature Scorned is a Nature poem.
