For Puabi

Wiling away the hours of my leisure,

While the hoi-paloi scramble for cash;

I recline at home, and find pleasure.

I find no meaning from their trash;

But I find meaning in great measure,

Until the hours of night have passed.

My heart takes wings and begins its flight,

Beside a tender soul who I adore;

We share the emotions we have throughout the night.

There is nobody but me and mi amor.

We stay together because it is right;

That is what we came together for.

And we will be together, forever more!
